Fashion: Seventies dress

The seventies are trending and as I was born in that era, I must have at least one item that embraces that style. So at the end of June I  bought this überlong dress on sale at H&M. The length of the dress, the flowy fabric, the blue/brown colour scheme, the floral print… this all screams seventies style to me !

I wore this dress on a date to Antwerp with my hubbie at the beginning of the summer (you can read all about our outing here) and also strolling around Caen in Normandy (you can check out my three Normandy posts on gardens, D-day and harbour towns).

I actually felt quite elegant in the dress ! To spruce up the seventies feel of the dress, I had to wear my wedges of course, my mustard coloured bangles an my brown woven belt with it. I wore my large sunglasses and to finish the look, my golden tote. I felt both glam and at at ease in this outfit.

I’m quite small, but I think the length of the dress makes me look taller. I certainly felt taller ! I loved how the wind played with the fabric and to be honest… I wanted to glide more than just walk !

Now I want to take this dress into autumn with me but I haven’t figured out which shoes I should wear with it… or perhaps it would be better with a pair of high-heeled brown boots… I’ll have to check it out. Anyway… all tips are more than welcome !

Love, Kathleen
