A couple of weeks ago I celebrated my very first blog-birthday. Anyone who could give me some inspiration on quotes, beauty products, travel tips,… was invited to share their ideas and so I got this lovely quote from Samaja from the blog Samajatalk. Thank you so much for this quote Samaja…

It made me think… it made me wonder… it made me doubt… because when reading this quote, I immediately thought of all those daredevils who leave everything and everyone behind to follow their dreams…

I am not a daredevil… at all! So how on earth would I be able to write about this quote… But then I thought that maybe I shouldn’t see it that drastic. You can live by this quote by just changing little things, by breaking those tiny habits.

And so it made me think of this past year… My first year of blogging. Because this past year I have certainly made some dreams come true and I have certainly changed my way of living… not in a drastic way because I wouldn’t feel comfortable with that. I am still a wife… I am still a mother, a daughter, a friend and a colleague… but I have learned to make these little dreams of mine come true, or at least I started doing some ‘research’ to see whether these dreams of mine can be achieved.

This blog has brought me to places I’d otherwise never would have visited, it has made me meet people I’d otherwise never would have met and it has made me come out of my comfortzone quite a few times.

This blog has been the start of something bigger, I just know. It has made me more confident and it has made me take steps I’d otherwise never would have taken!

So yes… I think this quote slowly, but steadily applies to my life as well… and I kinda like it!
