Beauty ‘n Fashion: Essence – Satin Touch Blush

DSC_0143

Most of the times I use a blush or bronzer to give my skin a healthy glow. Today I will tell you a bit more about a new blush I bought recently… and it’s a cheap one I can tell you that!

I finished my Essence Mosaic Blush some time ago, so I was in need of a replacement. I frequently use my Mylène Terre Indienne but I always want a regular brush in my beautycase so I went to the drugstore and bought another Essence blush.

The promises

This is what I could read on the website:

Blush addicted! This silky soft powder blush immediately gives the skin a fresh and healthy colour. Comes in three colours: rosewood, coral and bronzer. They all have a slight mother of pearl effect.

How to use

I always use some blush on the apples of my cheeks and I blend it out towards my temples. I use quite a big blush brush.

Pros

  • The price… at 2,59 EUR this blush is a steal!
  • This blush comes in three soft shades. I bought ‘coral’ which is a really warm colour.
  • Slight shimmer but not too much.

Cons

  • The pigmentation could be better, but hey… what can you expect at such a price! You’ve got to use quite some product to have the desired effect. You could see that as a pro I guess… you can really build up on colour and you avoid ending up with too much blush on your cheeks!

Conclusion

The pigmentation could be better, but at 2,59 EUR this is an OK blush.

Love, Kathleen

    1. I have a pink blusher as well. I tend to use that more in summer, but I think peach is also a nice, neutral colour. We’d better help mother nature a bit 🙂
