Beauty: Summer fragrances

Posted on Updated on

Recently I have bought three new fragrances and I love using them in spring and summer as they smell so fresh… let me tell you more about them!

The fragrances I am talking about are 5th Avenue from Elizabeth Arden, Eau d’Ivoire from Balmain (both blind buys!) and Eau Pure from Biotherm.

Elizabeth Arden – 5th Avenue

I had bought something online, but hadn’t reached my amount for free shipping yet… So I popped this eau de toilette in my chart. I had read a couple of reviews and at only 30 EUR for 125 ml I didn’t hesitate! Lucky for me I loved it at first smell 🙂

  • Very good price!
  • Elegant bottle.
  • Summery smell: flowers, bergamot, vanilla… winning combination!

Pierre Balmain – Eau d’Ivoire

I bought this eau de toilette at my local drugstore. There weren’t any samples, so it was a bit of a guess whether I would like it or not. I don’t know exactly how much I paid for it, but I think it was only 24 EUR for a 100 ml bottle so I took the chance… and won!

  • Very good price!
  • Elegant bottle.
  • This eau de toilette is a bit more herbal but still has a flowery scent to it as well. It also has a slight citrus scent.

Biotherm – Eau Pure

I have bought this eau de toilette before. Actually, the smell reminds me of a holiday to the Provence as I used it then, together with the shower gel and body milk from the same scent… so bonus points for lovely memories!

  • Fresh and citrusy smell.
  • When used with the matching shower gel and body lotion, the scent stays longer.
  • Contains essential oils from sage and lime.
  • Can be used on the entire body.

Now what about the cons… These three scents don’t last as long as my usual scents. The big difference of course is that I normally use perfume, whereas these are eau de toilette. So I guess it’s only normal that they evaporate faster.

Anyway, I am very happy with these fragrances and I will gladly finish them! I might even buy them again 😉

Love, Kathleen

Kathleen
