Last week was my husband’s 50th birthday which we celebrated big time and of course we were dressed for the occasion!

To celebrate my husband’s birthday, we had family over for tapas, wine and a good laugh. My husband is a Boss-fan so he wore an all-Boss outfit and I was wearing this fabulous maxi dress I bought at the outlet village in Roermond.

The dress really is ab fab… I actually love everything about it: the wonderful colour, the beautiful print, the gorgeous flowy fabric and the stylish golden chains attached to the neckline.

I styled this dress with golden accessories: a leather belt I bought at Veritas, a little clutch (which I am actually just wearing for the pictures!), my beautiful Gripoix earrings I bought in Paris last year and my new block heels from Bruno Premi. The heels are ridiculously comfortable which actually was a good thing as I was playing the host for hours on end 🙂

I’ve got this little green cardigan that goes perfectly with the dress. I bought it at H&M several years ago (I think it must be 8 or 9 years old!).  They sold it in three different colours (green, pink and black) and I bought them all as they are so easy to throw on. They’re starting to wear out a bit as I’ve been wearing them quite often over the past summers… I’ll be devastated when I have to throw them away as they’re the perfect cardigans to style with a summer dress.
