We often go to England. Be it a daytrip, a weekendbreak or a holiday, whenever we get the chance to cross the Channel, we do so!
So ever since I have started blogging, there have been quite some travelposts about England as I’m eager to convince people to put their prejudices towards this country aside!
In today’s post I will tell you what my 5 favourite travelposts about England are (so far…) and I can tell you it was very hard to decide…
During our 5-day holiday break, we made a stop in Shaftesbury, Dorset. Now this is such a lovely and charming village… Just check out the pictures in this post and you’ll want to see for yourself, I’m sure 🙂
Last week I told you how I like to visit castles when I’m on vacation. You could read a post about our visit to Sherborne Castle in Dorset. But when on holiday in England last July we also visited Highclere Castle, which you might know better as Downton Abbey!
When on a holiday or daytrip, I like to visit a castle. I enjoy wandering around the large, sumptuous rooms and corridors, admiring the antiques and art, strolling around the gardens and parkland around it,…
So when we were in Dorset in July we visited 3 castles: Corfe Castle (we only saw that from the outside as you could see in this post), Highclere Castle (yes… Downton Abbey!!!) of which you can read a post next week and Sherborne Castle.
After our rural walk in and around Sturminster Newton (see last weeks post), we went to Blandford Forum. Read on to find out more about what makes this little town so special!
In July we went on a short holiday to England of which I have already written several posts. I still owe you lots of beautiful pics, so let’s continue on our trip…
Last week you could read about our daytrip to London and how we walked through beautiful Bloomsbury in the morning. In the afternoon we took the tube to end up in an entirely different neighbourhood: Camden Town!
