Outfit of the week: Polkadot dress

Posted on Updated on

In today’s outfit of the week, I show you a dress that’s been in my cupboard for years and I haven’t worn it once… Let me tell you why!

Even though this is a very beautiful dress I always felt too insecure to wear it. I tried it on many many times, and last week I finally had the guts to actually leave the house in it 🙂

I bought this dress at Liu Jo in Maasmechelen outlet village and I even showed it briefly on my blog then (as you can see in this post), but I never came around wearing it as it makes me very aware of every curve, lump and hump of my body!!

I decided to wear some shapewear underneath it and I got some lovely compliments wearing it, so I guess I’ll have to take it out of my cupboard more!

As this dress speaks for itself, I am keeping the styling very simple. I am just wearing an (old!!!) Dyrberg Kern necklace with matching earrings, my gold Bruno Premi sandals and my cute Salvador Bachiller handbag.

What do you think of this dress? Can I handle it  or should I leave it in my cupboard???

Love, Kathleen

I think you look beautiful in it. It really suits you. I can see no lumps or bumps (and anyway, if you feel good in it, then sod ’em!)
