Dries Van Noten is one of Belgium’s greatest talents in fashion. In 1981 he graduated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and a couple of years later he designed his first collection. He became known as one of the Antwerp Six, a group of influential avant-garde fashion designers.
His designs are worn by many celebrities like Michelle Obama, Rihanna, Julianne Moore, Ryan Gosling and of course Queen Mathilde from Belgium.
In the ModeMuseum Antwerp you can visit an exposition about Dries Van Noten.
This exposition was initiated and realised by Les Arts Décoratifs, Paris and is now to be seen in Antwerp until July 19th. I can really recommend this exposition to anyone interested in fashion and art. Dries Van Noten is revealed as a true artist and the exposition shows where he gets his inspiration to create collection after collection.
Below you see some images of the exposition but I’d say : go and see for yourself… let yourself be indulged by the amazing creativity of Dries Van Noten !
