Fashion: LBD – Missoni

DSC_1424

For my first fall LBD-post, I opted for this flirty, short LBD I bought at an outlet. It’s a Missoni dress. I like buying designers’ clothes, but I must confess I rarely pay full price as most of the time I buy them on sale or at an outlet. When buying designers’ clothes, I tend to buy classic items, items which will last for several years.

So will this dress ! It is quite short, but as I’m not that tall, it is still ok in my opinion. In summer I wear this dress with bare legs, but as fall brings colder mornings and evenings, I have started wearing pantyhoses again.

I opted for a ‘rock’ style with my denim jacket from this post, a leopard print scarf and some golden accessories like my cuff bracelet. I wear my block heels. They are high, but really comfortable ! They’re such good quality. I have been wearing them for 4 or 5 years now but I still think they’re trendy.

The cut of the dress is perfect for my pear shaped bodytype. It emphasizes my flat(ish…) stomach and narrow(ish…) waistline while my hips are camouflaged by the flowy fabric. This dress is truly something I can wear anywhere, anytime (except perhaps on those hot summer days we’ve been having this past summer !). It will take me to work, to a party, to a diner or even to a rock concert ! The dress is ever so versatile. So another LBD with full marks in my opinion ! Don’t you think so ?

By the way : these photos were taken during our weekend break in Holland of which you can read more very soon on my blog !

Love, Kathleen

In the summer months I wear this dress without a pantyhose (this photo was taken by my daughter Elizabeth).
