A couple of weeks ago I went to Paris for a daytrip, together with my sister and daughter. The actual reason for our daytrip was the Paris Shopping Tour we did in the afternoon and of which you could read a post last week.

But in today’s travelpost, you can see a photo impression of how we spent our morning…

When I go to Paris for a daytrip, I always go with Slangen Reizen, a Dutch coach company. The coach starts its journey in Holland, but also stops in Antwerp, close to where I live, in the wee hours of the morning…

This time we (my daughter, my sister and I) were picked up at 4.15 (yawn!!), but the good thing is that we were in Paris at 9.30…  early enough to see the city come to life!  So when the coach dropped us off at the Bateaux Mouches, we had tons of time to spend in our favourite city…

After a morning coffee, we took the metro to the Marais which is one of my favourite neighbourhoods in Paris. It is so charming, with those little winding streets and cute boutiques! We got off the main boulevards as soon as possible to wander around and get lost in this part of the city. And as it was still only about 10.30 we had the opportunity and privilege to be the first tourists 🙂

We strolled around the Marais for about 2 hours so I took heaps of pictures of those beautiful buildings, corners, streets, café’s,… Make sure to scroll all the way down as there are lots of fab pics… enjoy!
