Today I put 3 fragrance samples to the test… Read on to find out what I think about ‘La Petite Robe Noire’ (Guerlain), ‘Si’ (Armani) and ‘Pure Musc’ (Narciso Rodriguez).

Sample: Guerlain – La petite robe noire

Occasion? I took this very literal… I wore this fragrance whilst wearing a little black dress to a New Year’s party of my husband’s work.

First impressions? I didn’t really like this fragrance. I thought it was too sweet, too cherry. It also didn’t last very long, which actually I didn’t mind… gave the remainder of this sample to my 16 year old daughter…

To buy or not to buy? Definitely not…

Sample: Narciso Rodriguez – Pure Musc

Occasion? I wore this fragrance to work.

First impressions? This fragrance is really fresh. It reminded me of a bouquet of gardenias, it’s slightly powdery and it also has a herbal twist. The more I sniffed my wrist, the more I liked it!

To buy or not to buy? Didn’t win me over completely, so I probably won’t buy it (wouldn’t mind getting this one as a present though)!

Sample: Si – Giorgio Armani

Occasion? I wore this fragrance to work.

First impressions? Elegant, sexy, fruity with a hint of vanilla (but not too overpowering). You really don’t need much of this eau de parfum which for me can be worn on pretty much every occasion!

To buy or not to buy? I might be persuaded in buying this one!
