One of the recurring trends each summer is the maxi floral dress. Every woman should have one ! Of course you can get a pricey, top-designer dress (and if your wallet stretches that far I can only encourage you to do so !!), but perhaps you’d rather spend your cash on basics then on a frivolous dress. As I don’t have the opportunity to wear a maxi floral dress that often, the one I bought at New Look last summer (at a 30% discount) will still do this year.

The dress I have is in a vibrant pink flowy fabric, covered with blue flowers… it doesn’t get much summery than that ! I especially like the back as it is partly open. So if the wind catches the fabric, you reveal a bit of skin, which is stylishly sexy ! I team my dress with a camel wedge as in summer my feet tend to swell a bit, so I really need a comfy shoe. I also like the fact that the dress has spaghetti straps, because that gives me the chance to work on my tan (of course using SPF !).

It is a perfect dress for high summer as you can go from the beach to a stroll along the harbor and have a mojito (or 2!) as I did in Cannes last year… ah… those were the days !!
