Last week I told you about the ‘Ten years of life-changing products’-box that came with the magazine Goed Gevoel a couple of weeks ago. From a lot of products in this box you could already read a review earlier on my blog. The Natural Skin Wash and the Classic After Oil though, are new to me. I have gladly tested out these products and today you can read my honest review.

1. Natural Skin Wash – Aromatherapy Essentials – Lemongrass

The promises

This is what I could read on the Rainpharma website:

‘This shower gel without soap or detergents cleanses your skin without drying it out… This shower gel only contains natural plant-based ingredients.Lemongrass, a tropical grass, provides the intense fragrance. The extremely fresh lemony scent has a slightly bitter undertone and an uplifting effect.’

How to use

Pump 2-3 times to have enough product to wash your skin. Rinse off. You can also use this Skin Wash as a hand wash.

Pros

• Very economic in use.
• This skin wash is made with 100% natural ingredients.
• The skin wash doesn’t contain preservatives or other nasties.
• Can be used by all types of skin.
• The lemongrass skin wash smells fresh and lemony which I love.
• This shower gel is made without soap or detergents, so the skin doesn’t dry out.
• Can also be bought in a 60 ml bottle, which is perfect to take on a holiday (showering once a day, a 60 ml bottle will last 3-4 weeks).

Cons

• This skin wash doesn’t foam very much which might be a con for some (not particularly for me to be honest). If you want it to foam, you can use it along with the Rainpharma Body Wonder Towel or a sponge.

2. Classic After Oil – A Zest of Happiness

The promises

This is what I could read on the Rainpharma website:

‘After Oil is an aromatic skin oil that you apply under the shower on wet skin and then rinse briefly. Dry, dress and you’re done. Your skin is as supple and soft as satin without feeling greasy.’

How to use

After washing your body with the Skin Wash, you turn off the water, apply this After Oil on wet skin and then turn back on the water to rinse off this product.

Pros

• This is a time-saver as you don’t have to apply body lotion after your shower.
• Very economic in use.
• This after oil is made with 100% natural ingredients.
• The smell complements the Lemongrass Skin Wash.
• My skin feels soft and supple after using this after oil.

Cons

• None whatsoever!

Conclusion

Both products are fabulous. They might seem a bit more expensive than what you’re used to, but as they are very economic in use, they will definitely last longer than your average products!
