It’s been a while since I had my first challenge (you could read all about it here) so it’s time for a new one, don’t you think?!
For the month of October I set myself a physical challenge. I like jogging (as some of you who follow me on Instagram already may have noticed) but the past years I have discovered that the month of October is crucial… I tend to stop running and start my winter break extremely early… That is of course due to the changing of the weather and the shortening of the days. But to avoid that this year, I set myself a challenge… and to make it even harder I share this challenge on my blog! I took my first challenge to a good end, so why not this one ?
I usually run 4 km two or three times a week. I know it’s not that much, but I’ve got quite a bad back. When I run more or longer, I tend to have backaches which make me stop jogging for 2-3 weeks… so better three times 4 km a week then one time ten km and then three weeks on the sofa don’t you think?!
Well anyway, for October that would mean I would run about 11 times I guess. So 11 times at 4 km makes 44 km for the month of October. Now to say that I would want to equal those 44 km, would not really mean a challenge now would it… No, I want to reach the 50 km mark! I know to some 50 km is peanuts, but for me this is already quite the challenge! I will do whatever it takes to reach my goal. I hope I’ll have the character to persist…
Halfway through this challenge I will keep you posted here on my blog. But people who follow me on Instagram will probably get more updates as I regularly take photos during my run and post them on IG. So if you want to, you can always follow me on Instagram too of course.
OK, I’ll leave you for now… I think I’ll start off in a good way and put on my running shoes… whish me luck !
