I have been testing out all these concealers over the last couple of years and I have shared with you my thoughts… but have I found a concealer yet that ticks all the boxes? Here’s a little throwback… and a conclusion!
If, like me, you’re always in search of the perfect concealer, then this beauty post might come in handy as I list the pros and cons of the concealers that I have tested out up until now.
I have given each concealer a score, taking several criteria into consideration:
- coverage
- price/quality ratio
- other beneficial effects
- type of applicator
- number of shades (his may differ from country to country!)
I hope you might find this summary useful during your next concealer-hunt!

Rimmel – Lasting Finish Concealer

Pros
- Light consistency.

- Comes in several shades.
Cons
- This concealer really could have been a winner… but unfortunately there is one big con… the sponge starts smelling after a couple of weeks and this was definitely a no-go for me! I didn’t even use up the entire tube!! Such a pity…

- Price/quality ratio: 3,5/5
- Other beneficial effects: 3,5/5
- Type of applicator: 4,5/5
- Number of shades: 1/5
Overall score: 3,3/5
Conclusion
It’s a tie… the NYX Dark Circle Concealer and the Catrice Liquid Camouflage have the same score: 3,7/5. If I would have to pick one out of these two, I’d go for the NYX as this concealer has other beneficial effects.
Doing this summary though, has made me determined to search for the right shade of the Maybelline Insta-Age Rewind Eraser though. I gave it a 3,6/5, but I guess the score would be higher if I would use the right shade!
Even though the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer also had a higher score (also 3,6/5), I probably won’t buy it again as a lot of product was put to waste. The bottle was just too difficult to emtpy completely.
And what a pity about that Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer… This concealer definitely would have been top of the class if it wasn’t for the smell!! How could I fix this? Any advice would be welcome…
Do you have other concealers you can recommend? Let me know in the comments… I might give them a try!
