France: Normandy – part II : D-day

American cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer.

Last week’s Normandy post was all about gardens and nature. But Normandy is so much more than that. To many, Normandy equals D-day… so when in Normandy, make sure to find some time to spend on Word War II sites !

Mind, you can easily fill a week going from one museum to another monument, from one cemetery to  another landing beach… As we didn’t have much time, I just picked three D-day-things to do : Arromanches, the German battery at Longues-sur-Mer and the American cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer.  Read more about our D-day trip in Normandy!

A few months ago I was waiting at the doctor’s. There was a young mum with her 2 kids from about 2 and 5 years old. They were actually quite good, but of course being kids they didn’t sit still. The eldest was looking in a ‘Top Gear’ magazine, drooling over the fab cars. So the ooohs and aaahs coming out of his mouth were really excited. His mum was constantly at him : don’t touch this, be silent, don’t do that, leave this alone, be quiet,… Read more about this quote!

This time, I post about 2 favorites that, in my opinion, can be worn throughout the year : Pure Poison by Dior and White Linen by Estée Lauder. Read more about these 2 fragrances!

I’ve been to Primark in Brussels recently… I know… Primark… Boy was it crowded over there ! To be honest with you, I didn’t think it was a shop for a 40+ woman… but I actually bought some things there and I must confess… they will be seeing me again !

I have been searching for a white skinny jeans for quite some time now, but there was always something wrong : too shiny, too sheer, not elastic enough,… so when I tried on a white jegging at Primark, I didn’t put my hopes up. But was I in for a surprise !! Read more about this outfit!
