Beauty ‘n Fashion: My 5 favourite beauty products from 2018

In 2018 I have tried and tested many beauty products and on this final day of 2018 I want to take a closer look at my 5 favourite beauty products of this past year.

Rainpharma – Sacred Seven Body Repair Oil

I got to know this body oil because it came with the magazine ‘Goed Gevoel’. The magazine often does promotions and this body oil was a fabulous one: together with the magazine it only cost 8,50 EUR instead of 55 EUR.

Now in my review (which you can read here) I wondered wether I would pay full price for a bottle. I haven’t yet had to buy another bottle (I bought 3 bottles during the promotion so I’m fine for quite some time!) but honestly… this body oil is such a fantastic product that I would pay the 55 EUR for it…

I have been using this body oil every single day since I have bought it and my skin looks refreshed, it’s hydrated, it feels firmer and smoother. I haven’t had this kind of result with any other body lotion/oil before!

This dry oil is also very economical in use. I only need 3 pumps for my entire body. I use it coming straight out of the shower. It also smells citrusy and fresh.

Yip… definitely a top product! Good job Rainpharma 🙂

La Mer – Replenishing Oil Exfoliator

I had the opportunity to buy this La Mer exfoliator at a lovely discount and boy I am glad to have found this product!

This exfoliator seriously gives my skin a boost. You don’t need a lot of product and when used regularly, you can certainly see the benefits on your skin! I have been using this product twice a week for about 3 months now and my skin is smoother and feels refreshed and nourished.

Another winner if you ask me! You can read the entire review here.

Kiehl’s – Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil

Oh boy, how I like to use this Kiehl’s cleansing oil!! It cleanses my skin thoroughly and gently and really refreshes it.

It’s a gentle cleanser and even takes away my waterproof mascara. It’s a 100% natural product with a fabulous smell as an added bonus. It’s very economical in use and even though it’s not cheap, one bottle lasts for about 5-6 months, so definitely worth the money!

10/10 for Kiehl’s… Want to find out more? Read the review here!

Mylène – Reticaps

One of the products I have been using regularly for years, are the Mylène Reticaps. They can be bought during homeparties, but Mylène will start to sell their products online soon.

These single-dose Reticaps are just so fabulous to use. They can be used daily, but I tend to use them 10 consective nights per month to give my skin a bit of a retinol-based cure. Being single-dose ampules, these Reticaps are very hygienic to use and perfect to take with you on a trip.

The ampules are extremely rich in retinol which makes them perfect to fight those wrinkles! Using them gives my skin a soft, even and velvety look. They hydrate and nourish my skin so well and even though I don’t like the smell, that won’t prevent me from buying them again and again and again!

Nuxe – Rêve de Miel Lip balm

One last product I want to put in this top 5 of my favourite beauty products of 2018 is the Nuxe Rêve de Miel lip balm.

I had bought the Nuxe lipstick and lip balm, but I must admit I love the lip balm so much more than the lipstick, which is just a plain, hydrating lipstick.

The lip balm however is something else! It’s extremely hydrating, smells lovely and it really nourishes my lips at night. I always use the lip balm at night so the balm can do its magic all night long.

After finishing the little jar (which took me about 6 months!), I bought a similar one from Kiehl’s, but in my opinion the Nuxe one is better (and cheaper!!).

Hurray for the Nuxe Rêve de Miel lip balm it is! You can read the entire review here.

And that’s it for my 5 favourite beauty products from 2018! Have you used any of these? Which ones are your favourite beauty products? Let me know in the comments!

Love, Kathleen
